This developed campground in Glacier National Park is the park's largest, located near the southern tip of Lake McDonald. All sites are reservable and equipped with fire rings, picnic tables, and tent pads. The campground provides access to fishing, swimming, and boating on the lake, as well as hiking and biking on nearby trails, including the Apgar Lookout Trail and a paved bike path. Ranger-led interpretive programs are held at the amphitheater. The Apgar Visitor Center, along with services and supplies, is a short walk away. The town of West Glacier is about 2 miles from the campground.
