This reservable Forest Service cabin is located in the Grand Mesa, Uncompahgre and Gunnison National Forest at an elevation of 9,500 feet. The historic log structure was built in the 1930s as a ranger station and now serves as a semi-rustic rental. The cabin includes electric lighting and heat, a kitchen with a refrigerator and stove, and a bathroom with a flush toilet and shower. It sleeps up to five adults, but tents and RVs are not permitted on the property. Guests must bring their own bedding and towels. Nearby recreational activities include hiking, biking, horseback riding, fishing, and non-motorized boating on the Mesa Lakes. The nearest town for fuel and supplies is Cedaredge, about 13 miles away.
