Island Lake is a developed campground in the Grand Mesa, Uncompahgre and Gunnison National Forest. Situated at an elevation of 10,000 feet, the campground is about 10 miles from Cedaredge, the nearest town for supplies. The 39 sites offer electric and sewer hookups, fire rings, grills, picnic tables, and tent pads, with vault toilets available. Vehicles up to 140 feet can be accommodated. The area supports fishing, boating, hiking, and biking. A boat ramp and fish cleaning station are located at the adjacent Island Lake.
