Terms of Service
Effective 2026-10-13
Thank you for using Camprtron. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are the agreement between you and us. Please read them. They contain a limitation of our liability and an outdoor-safety section.
Who we are and what these Terms cover
“Camprtron”, “we”, “our” and “us” mean Inglehoff LLC, a Texas limited liability company. Camprtron is a trademark of Inglehoff LLC.
“Services” means everything we run under the Camprtron name: the website at camprtron.com, the app at app.camprtron.com (including when you install it on a device), the Camprtron connector at mcp.camprtron.com, and the Camprtron apps and connectors in AI assistants such as ChatGPT and Claude.
“You” means the person who uses the Services or holds a Camprtron account.
When you use the Services, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. When we make a material change, we will change the effective date above and tell account holders by email at least 14 days before the change takes effect. If you keep using the Services after the change takes effect, the new Terms apply. If you do not agree with a change, you can cancel your subscription before it takes effect.
If we do not enforce a part of these Terms at some time, we have not given up our right to enforce it later.
Your account
- You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to create an account or buy a subscription.
- You must give us a real email address that you control. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in secure and for all activity on your account.
- An account is for one person. You may not share it, sell it, or create accounts with automated tools.
- The free trial is limited to one per person. Creating extra accounts to get more trials is not allowed, and we may close accounts that do this.
Subscriptions, the trial, and payment
- The trial. A new account gets a free trial. You do not enter a card to start it. The trial length is shown on our pricing page. When the trial ends, the paid features stop until you subscribe.
- Subscriptions renew automatically. A subscription renews at the end of each billing period (monthly or yearly) at the price you agreed to at checkout, until you cancel. We show the price, the billing period and the renewal terms before you pay.
- Payment. Our payment processor, Stripe, takes your payment. We do not store your full card number. Prices do not include taxes unless we say so. Where the law requires, we collect and pay sales tax.
- Failed payment. If a payment fails, the paid features stop until the payment succeeds. We do not give a grace period.
- Price changes. We may change our prices. If we change the price of your existing subscription, we will tell you by email at least 30 days before your next renewal at the new price, and you can cancel before then.
- Refunds. If you are unhappy, contact us at support@camprtron.com and we will look at each request fairly. We are not required to refund a partial billing period unless the law requires it.
Cancelling
- You can cancel at any time, online, from your account settings in the app. You do not need to call or email us.
- When you cancel, your subscription does not renew. You keep the paid features until the end of the period you already paid for.
- You can delete your account by contacting us at support@camprtron.com. We then delete your account data as our Privacy Policy describes.
- We may suspend or close an account that breaks these Terms, that harms the Services or other users, or that we must close by law. Where it is reasonable, we will warn you first.
How you may use the Services
You may use the Services for your own trip planning. You may not:
- copy, scrape, harvest or bulk-download data from the Services by automated means, except the public dataset described below;
- avoid or work around our rate limits, our access controls or the limits of your plan;
- resell, rent or give others access to the Services or to your account;
- reverse engineer the Services, except where the law allows it;
- use the Services to break any law, or to harm, harass or mislead anyone;
- interfere with the Services, or test their security without our written permission.
These rules apply in the same way when you use Camprtron through an AI assistant.
Information about campsites, and your safety outdoors
Read this section carefully.
- Our information can be wrong or out of date. We build Camprtron from public government data and from community-mapped data such as OpenStreetMap. Land status, forest orders, fire restrictions, road conditions, closures and campground facilities change, sometimes without notice. We check our data, but we cannot promise that it is complete, current or correct.
- It is your responsibility to confirm that camping is legal where you camp. Before you camp, check the current rules with the agency that manages the land (for example, the local ranger district or field office). A site in Camprtron is not permission to camp there.
- Estimates are estimates. Drive times, distances, rig-fit warnings, scores and rankings are estimates made by our software. A rig-fit warning does not promise that your vehicle can reach a site safely. You decide whether a road is safe for you and your vehicle.
- Availability is a snapshot. Reservation availability comes from third parties such as recreation.gov and can change at any moment. We are not a booking agent. You make reservations with the third party, under its terms.
- Outdoor activities have risks. Camping, driving on unpaved roads, hiking and similar activities can lead to injury, illness, vehicle damage or death. Weather, wildlife, terrain, water and fire are outside our control. You take on those risks when you choose where to go and what to do. Follow the law, posted rules, fire restrictions and Leave No Trace principles.
- Do not rely on the Services in an emergency. Call your local emergency number.
AI assistants
You can use Camprtron through AI assistants such as ChatGPT and Claude. When you do:
- the assistant’s provider (for example, OpenAI or Anthropic) runs the assistant under its own terms and privacy policy, which we do not control;
- the assistant receives the information our tools return, so that it can answer you;
- the assistant writes its own answer. It can summarize, leave out or misstate what Camprtron returned. Check important details, such as legality and road access, in the Camprtron app or with the land manager;
- you can disconnect Camprtron from an assistant at any time in the assistant’s settings.
Other services we rely on
The Services link to and depend on third parties, such as recreation.gov for reservations, map data providers, Clerk for sign-in and Stripe for payments. Their own terms apply to your use of them. We are not responsible for their services.
Our content, your feedback, and the public dataset
- We or our licensors own the Services, including the software, design, scores, rankings and written site descriptions. These Terms do not give you any ownership of them.
- The public dataset at camprtron.com/data/download is published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 licence. That licence, not the restriction on bulk downloads above, governs the dataset.
- Much of our source data comes from public-domain government data and from OpenStreetMap (© OpenStreetMap contributors, under the Open Database License). Their own licences continue to apply to that data.
- If you send us feedback or ideas, we may use them without any obligation to you.
Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect and why. We do not sell your personal data.
Service changes and availability
We may change, add or remove features. We work to keep the Services available, but we do not promise that they will always be available or free of errors. Your use of the Services is at your own risk. We provide the Services “as is” and “as available”.
Disclaimer of warranties
To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. Some places do not allow these disclaimers, so some of them may not apply to you.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows:
- we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, personal injury or property damage, that come from your use of the Services or of information in the Services, including information about campsites, roads, legality, availability or your vehicle;
- our total liability for any claim about the Services is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or US $50.
Some places do not allow these limits, so some of them may not apply to you. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that the law does not allow us to limit.
Your responsibility to us
To the extent the law allows, you agree to defend and hold harmless Inglehoff LLC from claims by third parties that come from your breach of these Terms or your misuse of the Services, including reasonable legal fees. This does not apply to a claim caused by our own breach or negligence.
Disputes
- Talk to us first. Before you start a legal claim, send a written description of the problem and what you want to support@camprtron.com. We will do the same before we start a claim against you. Both of us will try in good faith to solve it within 30 days.
- Small claims. Either of us may bring a claim in a small-claims court where you live, if the claim qualifies.
- Courts. Any other claim goes to the state or federal courts located in Travis County, Texas, and both of us agree to those courts’ jurisdiction. If the law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim in your home courts, that right is not affected.
- Time limit. To the extent the law allows, a claim must start within one year after it arises.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas and applicable United States federal law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If you are a consumer, you keep any protection that the mandatory law of the place where you live gives you.
Events outside our control
We are not responsible for a delay or failure caused by events we cannot reasonably control, such as outages at our hosting, data or payment providers, natural disasters, or government action.
Notices
We send notices to the email address on your account. A notice is received when we send it. You agree that we may give you these Terms, notices and receipts electronically.
General
If a court finds part of these Terms unenforceable, that part is changed only as much as needed to make it enforceable, and the rest stays in effect. These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about the Services. You may not transfer these Terms to someone else; we may transfer them as part of a sale or reorganization of our business. The sections on how you may use the Services, campsite information and safety, our content, disclaimers, liability, your responsibility to us, and disputes continue after your account ends.
