Privacy Policy

Camprtron is run by Inglehoff LLC. This page describes what we collect and who else sees it. There are two surfaces and they behave differently: camprtron.com, the public guides and campsite pages, needs no account and stores nothing you type; app.camprtron.com requires an account and is where searches and saved campsites live.

What we collect

• Usage analytics. Page views, and which features get used. This includes Google Analytics, which sets cookies and processes the data as your analytics provider, alongside a separate product-analytics provider. Signed in, your activity is tied to your account identifier.
• Error reports. When something breaks, our error-monitoring provider receives the error, the page it happened on, and your browser and operating system.
• Feedback you send. The feedback button is operated by a third-party provider. What you type goes to them directly and never passes through our code. They see your IP address and browser, and that you came from camprtron.com, but not which page you were on.
• Your account. Signing up stores your email address with our authentication provider. We never store your password.
• What you search. The starting point you type is sent to a mapping provider to turn it into coordinates, and your searches are saved against your account so results and saved searches can be re-run.

Session replay

Our analytics can record a replayable reconstruction of a browsing session — pages, clicks, and scrolling. It is enabled, and we would rather say so than leave you to discover it.

It is masked where it matters. Every text input is masked on both surfaces, so what you type is not captured. In the app, the address and origin fields are masked specifically and the map area is excluded from capture entirely. A replay shows the shape of a session, not your input.

What we do not do

• We do not sell or rent personal data, and never have.
• We run no advertising network, no retargeting pixel, and no cross-site advertising tracker.
• We do not share data with data brokers.
• We do not email you marketing you did not ask for. Account email is part of signing in.
• We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13, and neither surface is directed at children.
• We do not describe any of the above as anonymous. Signed in, this data is tied to your account.

Cookies and your choices

We do not show a cookie consent banner today, and analytics runs on every visit. A tracking blocker or blocklist will usually stop the Google Analytics tag, because it loads from Google’s domain. It will usually not stop our other analytics or error reporting, because those requests go to our own domain first — that arrangement exists so analytics is not silently half-missing, and we would rather say so here than let you assume a blocker covers it.

Email social@camprtron.com to ask what we hold about your account, to correct it, or to have it deleted. Browsing this site without signing in leaves nothing tied to an identity beyond the usage analytics above.

Data saved on your device

When you save a map for offline use, the app keeps map pieces and the campsite details you saved. They are stored only in this browser and labelled with your account id, and the app shows them only to that account. They stay until you delete them under Offline maps or clear the site’s data. Signing out does not delete them; they show again when you sign back in.

So the app can open offline, it remembers your account id and display name on the device — never your password or sign-in session. It also keeps a small copy of your profile picture, so your picture shows when you are offline. The app fetches it only while you are signed in and online.

So you can read your list offline, the app keeps a read-only copy of your saved campsites and saved searches (names, regions and the filters a saved search shows). Offline, you cannot change them. Signing out erases both copies and the remembered account.

Saved maps open offline for 30 days after the app last confirmed your subscription, then need a connection. If a subscription ends, saved maps stay on the device but do not open until you subscribe again.

The saved maps, the remembered account, the profile picture copy and the favorites copy are never sent to us or to analytics.

Retention, changes, and contact

Analytics and error data are kept under the retention window of our plan with each provider. Account data, saved searches, and saved campsites are kept for as long as your account exists. Server logs are kept for the short window our host retains them. Maps saved on your device stay there until you delete them; see Data saved on your device.

When this page changes, the date at the top changes with it. If something matters to you, ask and we will tell you what changed.
