South Carolina Camping

Developed campgrounds across South Carolina, grouped by area and county, with fees, reservation status, and road access.

This directory lists the developed campgrounds we have published. Dispersed camping is covered separately: the Camprtron app ranks dispersed options for your trip, and our guides explain dispersed camping on state land, state by state and where dispersed camping is restricted.

New to camping without hookups? Start with What Is Boondocking. Not sure what your vehicle can handle? See High Clearance vs 4×4. Camping out of cell range? Save your camping maps before you lose signal.

Before you camp outside a campground, check who is allowed to camp where. Dispersed camping on state land, state by state covers what each state allows on its own land. Where dispersed camping is restricted tracks the National Forest orders now in force, each one cited and dated.
