Situated in an aspen and lodgepole pine forest at an elevation of 9,600 feet, the campground sits west of Twin Lakes Reservoir and above Lake Creek. The area is suitable for recreational vehicles, and nearby access is available to the Continental Divide and Mount Elbert trails. Firewood is sold on-site, but campers should plan to bring their own water. The nearest town for fuel and supplies is Leadville, about 14 miles away.
