A developed campground in San Juan National Forest, Transfer Park offers 25 campsites across two loops above the Florida River. The upper loop is mostly level with larger sites, while the lower loop near the river has a mix of large sites, short pull-throughs, and tent spots. The campground provides both shaded and sunny areas, with amenities including drinking water, trash pickup, fire grates, picnic tables, and pit toilets. Bear-safe food storage is recommended. From September through May, services are unavailable, and campers must pack out all waste. The campground is accessible by passenger car, with parking for the Burnt Timber Trail nearby. Durango is 17 miles away for supplies.
