This developed campground in the Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest is situated in a dense forest of spruce, aspen, and fir at an elevation of 8,500 feet. The site contains five group campsites, some requiring a short walk from the parking area. Vehicles up to 35 feet are permitted. Amenities include fire rings, grills, picnic tables, vault toilets, and drinking water. Timber Creek runs past the campground, offering rainbow and brook trout fishing. A trailhead a half-mile away provides access to the High Schells Wilderness for hiking, backpacking, and horseback riding. Nearby trails also accommodate off-highway vehicles and mountain biking. The nearest town for supplies is McGill, about 8 miles away. This is a pack-it-in, pack-it-out facility.
