Gallo Campground

Chaco Culture National Historical Park · Developed campground

Gallo Campground is a developed, reservable campground in Chaco Culture National Historical Park. While reachable by passenger car in dry conditions, the final miles of unpaved road can become difficult or impassable when wet. The campground accommodates tents and RVs up to 41 feet and includes an ADA-accessible site. Each campsite has a picnic table, a fire ring with a grill, and a tent pad. Restrooms with flush toilets are available, but there are no hookups or showers. Activities focus on the park's historic and cultural sites, with opportunities for hiking, biking, and interpretive programs. The nearest town for supplies is Lake Valley, about 12 miles away.
