Visitors have access to flush toilets, showers, and an on-site dump station. Popular activities at the adjacent Lake Vesuvius include boating, fishing for bass and crappie, and swimming. The area also features over 40 miles of hiking trails accessible from near the campground. The nearest town for supplies is Lawrence, about three miles away.
