This developed group campground in Big Bend National Park offers seven sites for groups of nine to twenty people. Located at 5,400 feet in the Chisos Mountains, the campground is accessible to passenger vehicles but prohibits RVs, trailers, and generators at most sites. Each site has a picnic table, charcoal grill, and bear-proof food storage, with drinking water and toilets nearby. Trailheads for several popular day hikes are close, and activities include birding, wildlife viewing, and ranger-led programs. The Chisos Basin Visitor Center, a general store, and a restaurant are also in the area. The nearest town for fuel and full supplies is Study Butte, 14 miles away.
