Oh Be Joyful Recreation Area

Oh Be Joyful is a developed campground managed by the Bureau of Land Management. It offers 30 reservable sites, including 12 for vehicles, 18 for tents, and one group site. Each site has a fire ring, bear box, and picnic table. Vault toilets are available, but there is no running water. The campground is located in a valley with the Slate River running past it, 4 miles from Mount Crested Butte. A short hike leads to waterfalls on Oh Be Joyful Creek. Area activities include biking, boating, fishing, hiking, hunting, and photography.
