Developed campground in Curecanti National Recreation Area. The 53 first-come, first-served sites at Stevens Creek are located on the north shore of Blue Mesa Reservoir, about 10 miles from Gunnison. The campground sits at an elevation of 7,540 feet in a semi-arid, sagebrush landscape with limited tree cover. Sites include fire rings and picnic tables and can accommodate vehicles up to 40 feet. Drinking water is available seasonally from late May to mid-September. The location is used for water sports, including boating, swimming, and fishing, as well as hiking and wildlife viewing.
