This developed campground in the Rio Grande National Forest is set in a meadow at 9,200 feet along the Rio Grande River. The nearest town for supplies is Spar City, about 14 miles away. Sites include fire rings, and the campground provides drinking water from wells, vault toilets, and garbage service. It can accommodate vehicles up to 125 feet in length. Activities include fishing for trout in the river and the nearby Rio Grande Reservoir, kayaking, and rock climbing. Two trailheads lead into the Weminuche Wilderness and connect to the Continental Divide National Scenic Trail. Interpretive campfire programs are sometimes offered on weekend nights.
