Sites include fire rings, and the campground provides drinking water from wells, vault toilets, and garbage service. It can accommodate vehicles up to 125 feet in length. Activities include fishing for trout in the river and the nearby Rio Grande Reservoir, kayaking, and rock climbing. Two trailheads lead into the Weminuche Wilderness and connect to the Continental Divide National Scenic Trail. Interpretive campfire programs are sometimes offered on weekend nights.
