Developed campground in Mālaekahana State Recreation Area, managed by Hawaii State Parks. This wooded beach park on the north shore of Oʻahu is split into two sections, Kalanai Point and Kahuku. Camping is by permit only and available from Friday through Wednesday. The shoreline is suitable for swimming, bodysurfing, and fishing. Just off the beach is the offshore islet of Mokuʻauia, also known as Goat Island. The town of Kahuku is about 2 miles away for supplies.
